JDRF Real Estate Games

At Buch, we value events that allow us to give back to our larger community. We are passionate about supporting causes that make a difference, and the JDRF Real Estate Games offers us the perfect opportunity to give back. The event gathers professionals from the entire commercial real estate industry to compete and raise funds for an important cause. This year, the 2024 JDRF Real Estate Games took place at The St. James facility in Springfield, VA.

The JDRF Real Estate Games supports Breakthrough T1D’s mission to find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes. Our team was excited about contributing to this mission while enjoying a day of friendly competition and camaraderie.

The day kicked off with the men’s and women’s basketball tournaments, where we had a team in each category.  Following the basketball tournaments, our team hit the courts again for the volleyball competition, showing the same level of energy and sportsmanship. Our summer interns were especially eager to dive into the action, participating in both team events and individual challenges. The variety of competitions included the ropes course challenge, lacrosse challenge, golf challenge, fastball challenge, and a scavenger hunt. Notably, two of our interns, Michael Sandacz and Matson Grose, excelled in the ropes course and fastball challenges respectively, both securing second place!

Our team enjoys supporting our community and important causes like Type 1 Diabetes research is part of who we are. We are honored to have participated in the 2024 JDRF Real Estate Games and are excited for next year’s event!
