Macy’s Southshore – Starbucks

Bay Shore, NY

The Starbucks at Macy’s Southshore Mall was a gut renovation of the existing Starbucks coffee shop located prominently at the entrance of the mall. The work involved a complete demolition of existing fixtures and finishes of the coffee shop and pantry area. While the shop was under construction, Buch installed a temporary Starbucks cart and converted an existing stock room for their use. The renovated café received a brand-new millwork package with new counters, perimeter shelving, appliances and lighted signage. We installed new tiled floors and a custom lighting package throughout the space. When the project was at risk due to material availability, Buch collaborated with the design team to offer alternative sourcing options to keep the schedule on track. The shop also received MEP upgrades which impacted existing stock room areas and required careful coordination with the store team. The renovated Starbucks café is now complete and ready to serve customers with a new and convenient option within the Macy’s store.
